Introduction: These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of a Starlink Kit from Satellite Installs (owner) to the customer. By renting the Equipment, the Renter agrees to the following terms and conditions.
Rental Period
Start Date: As Stated on quote/in email End Date: As Stated on quote/in email
The rental period may be extended with prior written agreement from the Owner.
Rental Fees
The Renter agrees to pay the fee seen on quotation.
Late fees of £85 plus an additional £10 per day are applicable if equipment is used/returned later than agreed upon.
If Satellite Installs or a representative of, arrives at the agreed location to complete the installation or rental service and is unable to proceed due to reasons beyond its control, a minimum charge of £150.00 + VAT will apply, plus any additional costs incurred, including but not limited to travel expenses, equipment purchases, and other relevant expenditures. Reasons beyond our control include, but are not limited to, lack of site access, unsuitable installation conditions, incorrect information provided by the customer, legal or regulatory restrictions, and force majeure events. All charges are payable within 7 days of invoicing
Use of Equipment
The Equipment is to be used solely for its intended purpose of providing internet connectivity via the Starlink network. The Renter must follow all operating instructions provided by the Owner or the Equipment manufacturer.
Renter’s Responsibility: Ensure the rented Starlink equipment meets your needs; Owner not liable for equipment inadequacies. Renter must verify equipment suitability before rental. Owner not responsible for performance issues or unmet expectations.
Maintenance and Care
The Renter agrees to take reasonable care of the Equipment and to protect it from damage, loss, or theft. The Renter is responsible for ensuring that the Equipment is kept in a safe and secure environment.
Damage, Loss, or Theft
The Renter is liable for any damage to, loss, or theft of the Equipment during the rental period. In such cases, the Renter agrees to pay the cost of repairing the Equipment or, if the Equipment is deemed irreparable or lost, the cost of replacing it with a new Starlink Kit.
The replacement cost is currently £299.99 per kit, subject to change based on market rates.
Return of Equipment
The Equipment must be returned to the Owner by the End Date specified in this Agreement, unless an extension is granted. The Equipment should be returned in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear expected.
In the absence of a specific written agreement or quotation stating otherwise, the Renter is solely responsible for de -installing and returning all rented equipment to Satellite Installs at the end of the rental period.
Termination
The Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement at any time if the Renter violates any terms of this Agreement. Upon termination, the Renter must return the Equipment immediately.
Limitation of Liability
The Owner is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Equipment.
